Finding A New Mission After The Military

K9 Salute was created by Jessica Harris after eight police K9's were killed in the line of duty in January 2016. Thirty-six would be killed by the end of that year. K9 Salute was created as a way to honor and remember our nation's K9 heroes that serve in all capacities (military, law enforcement, fire, search & rescue, and the many service dogs that assist people in day to day life). We hope to honor these heroic dogs and to give back to the veteran and police K9 communities in our own small way.

Jessica is a retired Combat Medic and served from 1995 - 2015 in the Army National Guard.

K9 Salute was selected as a 2018 winner of the Bob Evans Farms Heroes to CEOs contest. Receiving a $25,000 business grant and mentoring with Daymond John from Shark Tank!

Tilly ♡ VP of Quality Control

My sweet Tilly made her  journey over the Rainbow  Bridge on a beautiful snowy morning on December 26, 2021. She will be missed forever and in our hearts daily. She inspected & approved of every treat sent out to K9 friends everywhere. The loss of my best friend reminded me why I started K9 Salute, and the importance of what I want to do so that I can honor her and all K9 heroes.
